Martin Luther King Jr. led the way for the case of civil rights with then President John Kennedy. At 34, he captived the hearts of millions for years to come with his "I Have a Dream" speech. At 35, he won the Nobel Peace Prize. On April 4, 1968, at 39, he was assassinated, but his legacy of hope and inspiration continues today.

Dr. King's message of non violence impacted people from every culture, including Latin America.

President Ronald Reagan signed the King Holiday Bill into law on November 2, 1983 after long bouts of controversy in Congress.

Today, many Americans enjoy Martin Luther King Day off as a call to service and to celebrate that this many years later we are realizing the dream that Dr King had. As Coretta Scott King said during the signing of the bill, "this is not a black holiday; it is a people's holiday.

If you are one of the millions of Americans that now get this day off to make it a long weekend, we invite you to get away this long weekend and join us in Rosarito Beach and celebrate life with family and friends and the warm hospitality of the Mexican people.

We are just 20 minutes south of the border with San Diego, and look forward to your visit.
